Aiden's Birthday Party

On Sunday we had Aiden's birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa's new house. I was so happy and thankful that we could have it there, because our house just isn't big enough to host that many people. Thank you so much Sally, you were such a big help.

It was hilarious watching the other kids while Aiden was opening presents. Aiden could've cared less about the presents and the older kids were going after the presents like it was Christmas morning. It was so funny.

Today I took Aiden to play at the park. Grandma and Jayla came along too. He loved going down the big slide with Mommy. I'm so glad I got to spend his first birthday with him. We had so much fun!

These two absolutely would not look at the same time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIDEN!!

Wow! I can't believe it's already been a year. It has gone by so fast! It breaks my heart. Aiden will always be my baby, but he's not my baby baby anymore. It didn't feel like he got to be my baby for very long. Don't get me wrong, I'm very excited for the time to come with Aiden. We are going to have so much fun. He's starting to learn so much, and I love watching the wheels turning in his head when he is figuring things out on his own. It's such a great feeling that he is "mine". He came from me and he is by far my greatest accomplishment. I love him so much and I look forward to the years to come with him.

This morning I made Aiden some chocolate chip pancakes, which he loved. He also had bananas and milk. No bottle! The whole milk thing is going surprisingly well. I thought it might be an issue since it is different and it's also cold, but he doesn't mind. I'm really going to try to only give him a bottle at night time.

The rest of our day is going to consist of lots of playing! I think we might see if Jayla wants to go to the park with us later. Aiden gets so excited to see Jayla. It's adorable. He gives her kisses.

At one year old, some of Aiden's favorites are: chocolate, his blankie, playing with anything of dad's (tool bag/tools, tape measure, water jug, wallet), tearing up magazines, going on rides in his toy car, and Tigs our cat. He walks well now, practically runs, eats a lot of the foods we eat, tries to put his pants on, brushes his hair, dumps out his blocks, picks them up and does it all over again, says dada......he still will not say mama :(. He has a lot to say, but I can't make out any of his words yet.

I'll put a post up with his 12 month stats after he goes to Dr. Austman on Monday. I think he has grown a lot!
I'm happy to say that everything that I had to go through a year ago today was 100% worth it. Which was a lot because Mr. Aiden was happy right where he was and did not want to come into this world quite yet. He was being very stubborn. After being in labor all day, Aiden came into this world via c-section at 6:08 pm. It was a long day for mommy!

Chocolate Goldfish Mmmm!

We've been introducing Aiden to a lot of new foods lately. Today he had some chocolate goldfish and loved them (as you can tell).

Yay!!! We got Aiden's one year pictures taken last night by Laura Kruger. I'm so excited! I think she got lots of good ones. She's a great photographer and I highly recommend her.
