Must Be Santa

I'm a little behind, but last weekend Aiden went to see Santa. He wasn't a big fan of him, but we tried. He's not usually afraid of people. Then we went and ate at Lost in Time, and tried to play in the snow. The snow wasn't much of a hit either. Maybe we'll try again soon.

Aiden's First Haircut

Aiden had his very first haircut today! He did really well. Although he kind of had a "what are you doing to me" look on his face. I took him to Cookie Cutters in Bloomington. It was a perfect place to take a little one to get their haircut the first time. The stylist could've been a little more friendly though. I don't think she hardly said two words to Aiden. You would think that being a person cutting hair in a kids salon they would love kids. Unfortunately that was not the impression that I got. Overall, I was happy with it. I even kept a couple of his little baby curls. :)

Catching Up

We've had a lot going on lately. There was Shanna's bachlorette conferences, Halloween, Shanna and Rob's wedding, and parent/teacher conferences. Finally this last week has been less hectic. Aiden has been jabbering like crazy, but I still can't make out many words. He does say Tiggy, Da, Daddy, and I swear the other day he said baba and mama! Yay finally. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but I'm counting it. :) He has become quite the little tornado. He gets into everything, and I'm beginning to feel like nothing is safe from him anymore! He gets into draws and cabinets. He especially loves it when his closet door gets left open and he can get out all of his hangers. I feel like there is no point in picking the house up until he is in bed. I wouldn't change any of it though. Today he is 14 months old! I still can't believe it. I was looking at him the other day, and realizing he is a little boy. It makes me sad how fast it is going. Here are some pictures of him recently. It's been hard to get any good ones of him lately since he is always on the go.

Feeling Better??

I think Aiden is finally feeling better tonight. I took him to see Dr. Austman today, because he woke up in the middle of the night with 103.5 temp. He ended up having a double ear infection, so I'm glad that I took him. She put him on an antibiotic and I think it's finally kicking in come bedtime. He seems like he is ready to party, but at least he is feeling better. It could be a late night for him, because he doesn't seem like he is even close to ready for bed.

Sick Little Boy

My poor baby is sick, and I feel so bad for him. He looks miserable. He's been running a low grade temp off and on for the last couple of days, but tonight he felt VERY warm. So, I took his temperature and it was 103.6! He had me worried. I gave him a cool bath, cold fluids, and popsicles. Luckily he's been sleeping soundly for hours now and didn't feel as warm when I checked on him. I hope he gets to feeling better soon.

10 Years Ago Today

Ten years ago today Scott and I started dating. I can't believe it has been a whole ten years already. We have experienced so much together! Scott is my best friend and I couldn't imagine my life without him in it. I look forward to another ten years together. I love him so much.

Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday Mom, Tara, and I took Aiden and Jayla to the Pumpkin Patch in Graymont. It was fun and they liked it, but boy was it hot! As usual it was impossible to get a good picture of them together.

Aiden's First Year Slideshow

I was playing around on the computer last night and decided to make a slideshow. It's a little late, but it was fun to make.

Tanner's Orchard

On Sunday we went to Tanner's Orchard. It was a lot of fun. It was nice that there were things that Aiden could do. He loved the slide, firetruck, and the tractor trikes. It turned out to be a beautiful day too.

Aiden's Birthday Party

On Sunday we had Aiden's birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa's new house. I was so happy and thankful that we could have it there, because our house just isn't big enough to host that many people. Thank you so much Sally, you were such a big help.

It was hilarious watching the other kids while Aiden was opening presents. Aiden could've cared less about the presents and the older kids were going after the presents like it was Christmas morning. It was so funny.

Aiden's B-Day with Mommy

Today I took Aiden to play at the park. Grandma and Jayla came along too. He loved going down the big slide with Mommy. I'm so glad I got to spend his first birthday with him. We had so much fun!
