Aiden's First Easter Egg Hunt

Aiden's Great Grandma Tipton invited him over to do his first Easter egg hunt. He did really well with it. I didn't think that he would be old enough to find the eggs, but he had no trouble at all. He caught on pretty quickly.

He was carrying his eggs around all night

Bad

I have been really bad at taking pictures lately. I really need to get some motivation and take some because I know that I will regret it. Sadly the only pictures that I have from March are on my phone.

We haven't really had a lot going on lately either. Friday Natalie Austman came over to play. This past week has been Spring Break for the districts that I sub in so I haven't been busy with that. My Thirty-One business has been going pretty well. I love the products and it gives me something to do when I'm not busy subbing. It will be great in the summer. I've been busy getting my resumes out to schools. ::crossing my fingers that I get a job:: It's scary, there are ~200 applicants for one job opening. YIKES!!

I'm very excited!! I had been looking into getting an eReader and had some bday money burning a hole in my pocket. So, I went to Barnes and Noble and checked out the Nook Color. I ended up getting one. I took it home and played with it for a couple of days, but it just didn't do much for me. About a year ago I decided to make the switch from a PC to a Mac. I am in love with Apple products now. I don't think that I will ever go back. So, this is what I got..........

I'm patiently waiting for it to come in the mail and can't wait. : ) I don't think that I will be disappointed going with Apple.

Sledding and Catching Up (Again)

This morning we gave playing in the snow another shot. First we started by just playing in the yard, then we took Aiden to shaft hill (an old coal mine hill in town). Since that was going so well we decided to take him up town where the city has been putting a lot of the snow from main street. It is a huge snow mountain. We had so much fun!! Aiden loved it too! He was laughing the whole time, but it was kind of a little nervous laugh. I'm so glad the he liked it. Unfortunately I didn't take my camera when we went down the bigger hills.

.
On Thursday I went to Washington to meet some college friends at Basta's....yum yum! Basta's is my favorite place to eat ever! If you are ever over by Washington or Peoria stop and try it. They have several locations in the Peoria area. The one in Washington is an Italian-Irish restaurant. I only get to go there about once a year though.

Last week Aiden was running a high temp again, so I took in him in to see Dr. Austman. She tested him for strep and surprisingly it came back negative. Here he is not feeling well, but still looking cute as ever.

I don't know why but this picture cracks me up. Aiden found Scott's stocking hat and put it on. He looks like a little Russian or something.

thiry-one

I don't know what got into to me, but I decided to become a Thirty-One consultant. On Friday I went to my first Thirty-One party ever! And, I really liked the products. I had heard of Thirty-One before and had seen people with bags, but I had never been to a party. So, my crazy self just dove right in and decided to sell it. So, if there is anyone that looks at this blog (probably not many because I fail to update it very often) and would like to have a party let me know. I'm excited to get started, but I need some volunteers. :)

Better Late than Never

I've been horrible at updating our blog lately. I've also been bad about taking pictures. I didn't get many Christmas morning pictures, because I was video taping it. Then, I forgot my camera for Tipton Christmas (hopefully I can get some from someone). I did get some pictures from dad from Watson Christmas. We had a good Christmas and I feel like we need a new room for toys. Good thing Scott is almost done remodeling the breezeway, which will be Aiden's toy room. Yea!! I can't wait for it to be done.
A couple of weeks ago Aiden had his first experience with the stomach flu. NOT FUN! I hope for his and my sake we don't experience that too often. It was GROSS! Poor guy woke up puking in his crib at about 10 at night. It's hard with one that little that doesn't know you can't just puke all over the place. Needless to say, I think I changed his crib bedding 4 times and he got it all over the carpet.

It's been really nice having these last couple of weeks off for Christmas Break. I've gotten to spend a lot more time with Aiden. He's amazing and has lots of energy. The only time he takes a break is for nap time and bed time. He is 100% boy and keeps us busy.

We took Aiden on a date with us for New Year's Eve to Olive Garden. We went out early so that he wouldn't get grumpy. It's amazing how much life changes after you have a little one. We probably could've gotten a babysitter and went out for New Year's, but I had much more fun just taking it easy as a family.

Happy New Year!

Must Be Santa

I'm a little behind, but last weekend Aiden went to see Santa. He wasn't a big fan of him, but we tried. He's not usually afraid of people. Then we went and ate at Lost in Time, and tried to play in the snow. The snow wasn't much of a hit either. Maybe we'll try again soon.

Aiden not so happy visiting Santa

All bundled up for about 2 min in the snow

Aiden's First Haircut

Aiden had his very first haircut today! He did really well. Although he kind of had a "what are you doing to me" look on his face. I took him to Cookie Cutters in Bloomington. It was a perfect place to take a little one to get their haircut the first time. The stylist could've been a little more friendly though. I don't think she hardly said two words to Aiden. You would think that being a person cutting hair in a kids salon they would love kids. Unfortunately that was not the impression that I got. Overall, I was happy with it. I even kept a couple of his little baby curls. :)
